In the Old Testament Book Amos, Chapter 3 verse 8, it says: –
8 The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord God has spoken;
who can but prophesy? Indeed.
Amos is one of the 12 last books of the Old Testament, where ALL the prophets share a recurring theme. It is the same theme of God mapping out the ‘latter days’ – the End Times. God is showing His secrets to the ones that ‘fear Him’ – His true prophets, and it is in the preceding verse 7 where it says: –
“For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets.
The messages through these 12 prophets are in the process of being fulfilled. It is the time for the truth to be preached and taught. It is for the Church to stand up and be unshakeable in a world that is going to be shaken. (Haggai 2: 6) Because with confidence and true purpose, in the face of growing hostility and chaos, we can be encouraged in our walk with Christ, as those who take refuge in Christ will be ‘hid’ in THAT day. (Zephaniah 2:3)
There are many truths hidden in these 12 books – and these are truths that are coming to pass because God is a God of His Word.
Let the Church of Impact be readied and strong for the days ahead. What an awesome task it is to be here for these days.
