He HAS Risen!!!

Jesus has risen and defeated sin and death! Halleluyah!

We have been so blessed at the Church of Impact this Easter Weekend. From our Good Friday service right through to Resurrection Sunday Service we have been richly blessed. For those who fasted and prayed over those days, our additional meetings on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon were rich! Rich with the presence of the Holy Spirit drawing close to the hearts of those seeking The Lord over these days!

On Good Friday we again learnt the powerful truth of the Blood of Christ. In Exodus chapter 12 verses 11 to 13, we read of the blood of the lamb being painted on the doorposts of the Israelites homes in Egypt. In Verse 13 it says:-The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.” Therefore, the blood of the lamb protected the Israelites from death! Therefore, likewise the Blood of The Lord Jesus Christ is the antidote to death!!

On Saturday we were treated to a message regarding the danger of familiarity. It is so easy to get too comfortable and to get used to anything. What about the things of God? Once upon a time we were so excited about Jesus, excited about Church and excited about reading our Bibles? Has it become mundane and routine? It should not! The excitement with Jesus should be for everyday and one that should never be taken for granted! And on Resurrection Sunday, we continued to hear that His precious blood should never get too familiar that we are not enamoured anymore! We should live with expectation of not a routine life but one of fulfilling the life that Christ has paid for us on the cross!! We should live in Resurrection POWER!

It is time now, especially at the end of two thousand years to be stepping out for Jesus, talking about Jesus and demonstrating His love and message of redemption! Let us expect to see The Holy Spirit move in our meetings, touching and changing lives! This is the gospel. This is the truth! Jesus came to set people free and is still doing so!

From this past weekend of days of fasting and prayer, we pray that the Lord will through His Church, be glorified as He leads in building His Church!!
