The world around us is in chaos with war, political upheaval and fake news.
We grapple everyday as believers living in a world of sin but, destined to be partakers in the kingdom of Heaven. Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11 gives a clear template on not only how sin is categorised – Lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and Pride of Life – but also how to respond to these temptations.
Jesus understands our human plight and shortfalls, but from the beginning of time our Father in Heaven has been lighting up our Exit through His word, If only we would listen!
There is no new revelation in Matthew 4
but, the word of God brought alive to us, as the Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted. God wants a relationship with us, His creation! Jesus went through much not only to identify with us, but also to give us an identity in Him.
Be sensitive to the nudge of the Holy Spirit, as he calls us to be refined in character and transformed into trusted Ambassadors of Christ!
