Two Kingdoms

Ever since the incident in the Garden of Eden, (Garden means ‘paradise’) where satan deceived Eve to the eating of the apple, therefore disobeying God, there has been an enmity between two kingdoms. Man’s rebellion and kingdom on earth versus the Light of the Kingdom of God!

The seed of sin and rebellion was now in man. We all were born with this seed as it passed on from generation to generation. But Glory to God and in the name of Jesus, that seed of sin was dealt with on the cross by the death of Jesus! And by His resurrection and our faith in Christ, we are now ‘born again’ with an imperishable seed leading to eternal life, and not of a seed that leads to death!

Jesus teaches us that we are to pray’- “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done” in Matthew 6: 9-10. It shows us to long and desire His Kingdom, where there is no more sin, where righteousness and justice reign! And through the 2000 years of church history, we see this continuing battle of the Kingdoms, where Jesus is bringing the saved, lost and hurting into His Kingdom. Jesus’ Church is the Light carrying the message of Christ to an ever-increasing dark world. Jesus says in John 9: 4-5,  We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

As the Church period reaches its climax, Jesus shows us that there are still many who are to be saved from the darkness and become sons and daughters of the Kingdom of God!

May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
