Following our latest Blog and Preaching – “The Lion has Roared – who will prophesy?” – the reaction and events after are exactly as they should be.
After being led to read and then preach on the message through the last 12 prophets of the Old Testament, are we taking heed? Why does God speak through His Word and His true prophets? Amos 3 verses 7 and 8 clearly shout to us:- 7 “For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord God has spoken;
who can but prophesy?”
You see, the Lord continues to speak and that He is going to once again – “Shake the Heavens and the Earth” -to awaken a ‘self-absorbed’, world from its slumber. Earlier today, there have been earthquakes in California, Japan and Venezuela with the ‘shaking’ felt further afield. (Haggai 2 verse 6) The Lord is increasingly angry at the inhabitants of the world and their ‘false sense of security.’ (Zechariah 1:15) Where is the world’s focus and delight? It’s in entertainment and self and because the news around the world is not good, we don’t pay attention to it.
With this message what should be the reaction of the believers of Christ? Christ expects His believer’s to be in Prayer, in His presence and understanding the times we are in and that fast approaching. How can we truly preach the truth when we avoid the news and worse still – avoid the intimacy of the Prayer room with our Saviour?
The true Church has to be unshakeable in these days. We have the reason of hope – we know the story. The shaking of the world and ALL events coming are to enable the message of Christ to be preached fervently with love. Let us be strong and not fear the days that are coming. Because God ‘speaks’ in Zephaniah 2:3- 3 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
who do his just commands;
seek righteousness; seek humility;
perhaps you may be hidden
on the day of the anger of the Lord.
The Bride of Christ WILL BE HIDDEN during the ‘latter’ Great Tribulation’ coming on the earth. Noah and his family were ‘hidden’ in the ark during the flood that destroyed mankind, behind a door closed by the Lord. No one paid attention to Noah – they perished. Will the world pay attention to the message of Christ’s impending 2nd coming – and will the true Church preach it is more the question!
Habakkuk Chapter 3 verse 2 says:-O Lord, I have heard the report of you,
and your work, O Lord, do I fear.
In the midst of the years revive it;
in the midst of the years make it known;
in wrath remember mercy.
Mercy is still available. Let the True bride preach. “Father, you have spoken through your Word and your prophets. The world cannot continue to reject you and your son and say we do not need you. You are returning Jesus for those who are yours, you know those who are your possession in that day as recorded in your book of remembrance. (Malachi 3:16) Let us know the divine plan – the truth – because it gives the truth of hope in the midst of all the shaking that is coming to the world. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!”
