As believer’s, we live in a most exhilarating time of seeing Bible prophecies being fulfilled. Once what was a prophecy for a future event far of, next week could now be a prophecy happening before our eyes and being fulfilled.
The book of Ezekiel is a most prophetic book. Just looking at chapter 37, there is the well-known story of the Valley of dry bones. The Lord takes Ezekiel to a the valley of dry bones and says:- ” (Ezekiel 37: 3) And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” God continues to tell Ezekiel to prophesy that ‘breath’ will enter into these bones and this will indeed raise an army! God says in verse 11:- Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.’ This a prophesy of the rebirth of Israel. From the time of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70, Israel was not a nation in it’s own homeland until 1948 – over 1900 years!
We continue to see in the following chapters of Ezekiel 38 and 39, things aligning before our very eyes as written. Chapter 37 was fulfilled, and you can guarantee that the rest will follow. What is of particular interest can be read in chapter 39 verse 6:- “And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord.” Upon conclusion of destroying the enemies that come against the land of Israel, a nation restored after war (Ezekiel 38: 8), God is going to send ‘fire’ to the isles or coastlands that are dwelling in a ‘false sense of security.’ A fire to awaken a people out of their ‘carelessness’ and ignorance of a Holy God. This nation of ours has fallen tremendously and has little value for human life and God’s moral values. A holy consuming fire from God is needed to turn the hearts back to God and the Saviour Jesus Christ.
This fire will not be just for the nation as a whole. But also, for the lukewarm and compromised ‘church.’ Jesus gives many warnings to the church in Revelation to ‘repent and turn back to Him, and none more so than to the prosperous church of Laodicea in Revelation 3:16 to 18:- “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (KJV)
The Refiner’s Fire of God’s Spirit, to truly live for Christ in the coming final harvest period before the final ‘7’ year Great Tribulation Period. I do not want to be here for the final ‘7’ year period. I would rather live a sacrificed life on the altar of God being burned by His Holy spirit and be taken, before that ‘hour of trial’ that is coming upon the world. (Revelation 3: 10) God’s Fire of Judgement.
