When looking at the current affairs and news around the world, one must be acutely aware that something is not quite right. As a Christian and ‘walking’ with God, we of anyone must be able to discern and know what is happening all around us! Psalm 25: 14 says: “The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.”
The Church (the Bride!) should be walking and abiding in Jesus daily and be closer to Him than anyone on the planet!! Jesus has revealed all things in His Word, and those with ears to hear, those who know what it is to walk in ‘ the fear of the Lord’ will understand!
The days that we find ourselves in, these final days of Jesus building His body, are uncertain. But we are not to fear. Jesus promised us in John 14:1-3“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” That is some promise!!
Though there is a ‘Gathering Storm’ of rumours of wars, persecution, rising immorality and economic chaos, one thing is certain. Jesus will ‘take’, ‘remove’ his church from the trial that is coming on the earth.
Let us all continue to be the ‘light’ of Jesus in this ever-increasing dark world. Whilst there is day, let us keep our eyes on Jesus and be a ‘light’ of hope. That is His bride!!
