In this day of remembrance there is much we can reflect on, especially the fact that millions of soldiers gave their lives in battle. Indeed, “lest we forget” the value of life! As we know, we easily can forget and history does therefore repeat itself as we do not learn from the past! “The future is history not learned!” The bible also shows us numerous times of God telling His people the Law and commandments and commanding them – “listen to my law and DO THEM!” And He did not say this once! God commanded over and over again! Jesus too said in the closing of His sermon on the mount that those who have heard these words and DOES THEM, is a wise man who built his house on the rock! It is important to read the words of Jesus and DO THEM! Lest WE forget! Because upon the return of the Son of Man, Jesus says in Matthew 24:40-41 “There will be two men in the field, one will be taken and the other left, two women will be grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left” – the words of Jesus are direct and true! Get oil in your jar – love Jesus with all your heart – “lest YOU forget!”
