In Psalm 42, we feel the heartfelt anguish of the writer for his desire for God. There is a thirst and longing of his soul for the presence of God. When there is no desire or hunger that means you are ‘satisfied.’ Are we ‘satisfied’ for the presence of God in our lives? Are we content with all we have in Jesus that we long no more or ‘thirst’ as the writer shows? Jesus says, “come to me all who are thirsty, and streams of living water will flow from within”. We, as his beloved church should continue to desire and worship our Saviour, not settling for nothing but more of HIs presence . “Oh Lord, my soul thirsts for you”.
