Cultivating a Spirit of Gratitude

We read a wonderful story in Luke 17 where Jesus heals 10 men with leprosy. After the miracle of the healing, only 1 of them and he a Samaritan came to say thank you and worshipped Jesus. “Were there 10 of you who were healed?” says Jesus, “where are they?” Cultivating a heart of gratitude to Jesus for all that He has done for us is of utmost importance. We should delight in doing this to keep in a place of humility. Especially when we had been in a desolate place, waiting for a touch of Jesus, such as these men with leprosy! They were crying out to Jesus for a ‘touch’, they obeyed the instruction given by Jesus and they received their healing! We may be waiting on Jesus, then we continue to pray and cry out in the Spirit, then obey His word and then we receive our miracle! But will we be like the 1, who returns, worships and says thanks daily? Let us cultivate a Spirit of gratitude, thanking our precious Lord daily for ALL He has done and continuing to do.
